Spring Has Sprung: Sephora VIB Sale is coming…

What you should know about the sale

So if you are a beauty lover, it is a given that the Sephora VIB sale is essentially our Christmas. Although I do not always consider this the worlds best sale of all time, for small percentage makes a difference. A piece of advice or “hack” if you will that I can share is, if you aren’t being charged for the shipping, splitting your orders sometimes can help you shed a few more dollars.

Soon over on my YouTube channel, I will be sharing all the items I look forward to purchasing. Likely, I will be going through my collection to suggest items I have tried for myself and have enjoyed over time. Adversely, I will also showcase products that I wish I had saved my money on. Products that maybe I allowed myself to fall for during a hype phase and did not work for me.

Returning items whether you bought it during the sale or no is far game. Sephora’s point system may not be the best, however, I know they are not particular about your returns. Most encounters I have had with regard to returning something (which aren’t much as I always FORGET to return items) have been pleasant experiences.

Items that you need to look out for during the sale

• Skincare: Skincare products are always the No.1 thing I try to buy during the sale. Especially if it is considered “luxury”, skin products can be a pricey, pricey number. My greatest recommendation is, talk to the beauty advisor and see how versed they are on skin prep and products that cater to your specific needs. They are wizards, guys. They can only suggest products they thing will work for you. If by any means it does not serve you or your needs, return.
• Fragrance: Perfumes are probably the No.2 thing I would recommend getting during the time of the sale. We are know that nice fragrances can be hundreds of dollars these days for about 1.07oz of product. But, if the perfume has staying power, potent scent and nice essential oils that linger its worth the price tag. It will also ultimately cut the usage because you will not need a lot for the wow factor.
• Tools: Whether you are thinking hair tools (i.e Dyson Special Edition Airwrap™ Multi-Styler Complete Long or T3 Switch Kit Wave Trio) or makeup tools such as brushes; these are great items to snag during the sale. FYI, on Trendmood1 IG, I saw that Dyson will be coming out with a new attachment for the standard blow dryer. From the post, it looks like the “frizz-control” and a round brush had a baby. That being said, the one Dyson product that I absolutely adore and stand behind is the Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer. 10/10
• NEW LAUNCHES: Generally speaking, the sale is the ideal moment to get yourself those newer, fresh of the press items that may sell out super quickly and will take about a month or so for restock after the sale. I won’t go to deep in the weeds, as stated I will be doing a YouTube video with my sale recommendations. Stay tuned for that.

Beauty items you may want to skip

When it comes to items I think you can completely skip over are the “hyped around the brand name” products. There will be crazy amount of launches right before the sale and some brands drop releases as the sale is happening (will never understand why). Consequently, you are able to really get the best worth for your dollar. Because times this year is tougher, I made a de-influencing video over on my YouTube channel. I parse through products that are really new to the market. Some that will launch by the end of the month before the same. Overall, the products that I think are lackluster, a money grab or subpar.
